Green Empire Phase 2 (NY, USA) & Pure Flavor (ON, Canada)

RORO often ends the year with ongoing cooperation in the provinces of NSW, and Victoria in Australia. With the continuation of the fire situation in Australia, the majority of horticultural construction projects continued to be on hold while the country and citizens recover from months of tragic events. *at the time of this blog update, we are pleased for the ongoing rain and improvement of the Australian fire situation.

Concrete Greenhouse Foundations in NY State and Leamington, ON
Business as usual in North America

In lieu of heading down-under, business was as usual in North American horticulture market, and RORO Greenhouses closed out 2019 there, starting in New York state assisting on phase 2 of a 13 hectare project for Green Empire. With winter quickly approaching the Northeast, RORO flew in to help complete concrete walls of 1750m of walls and 2700 steel dollies which we managed to finish in 17 days right before the snow arrived.

From the US, we continued on in North America heading even further North to Canada to work on Pure Flavor in Leamington, ON - the horticulture capital of Canada. In Leamington, we worked on the installation of 1700 steel dollies.

Typically, in mid- December the weather in this area of Canada is anywhere from -5 to -15 which results in the ground being too frozen to construct any walls. That was the case for the end of 2019. As soon as the ground thaws (likely Mid-March to April 2020, depending on normal seasonal weather in South Ontario) we will return to build 2000m of walls on this project.
