Amid Covid, Canada continues to grow

On April 8th we left home for Southern Ontario, visas in hand, deemed an essential business in Canada we headed back to finish some projects we started earlier in the year and also to commence some new ones in the region.

A few days ago as I finished my 14 day quarantine and was able to join my team completing a service area at Red Sun Farms which was approx. 3000 square meters.

Considering all of the closures and implications surrounding the current situation which heavily impacts construction in all industries, I am very proud of my team for the great job they did, and continue to do here in Canada. Initially, I was unable to fly and they were able to complete the walls and service area at Pure Flavour, a job we commenced in January but had to pause to wait for spring temperatures and the ground to thaw out to finish the walls for the 9 hectares project.

Rolling into the weekend, we headed to Blenheim to do a floor for an existing storage facility for the Voorwinden Group, and this upcoming week we will be at Jem Farms to work on a 7.5 hectare foundation (with drilling 3.5 meters deep) which should take us around 3-3.5 weeks to complete.

With a couple projects following, we expect to be busy in Canada until June and hope to head back home to Holland before the official start of summer.
