Australian Horticulture Expansions

Updated: Nov 16, 2019

RORO GREENHOUSES

Wrapping up 2018, we are proud to have finished the year being contracted in 8 countries and across 3 continents. With materials in 3 countries across those 3 continents, in 2018 we have also started to rent our specialized machinery to other foundation companies and manufactures which was an exciting way to expand for us while being busy in other projects.

To close out the year, we started our Australian Summer Tour around the second half October just north of Brisbane to complete a 4 hectare plastic greenhouse for Apex Greenhouses with a great design from the well known French Manufacturer Richel.

This project was great with the weather on our side and in around 12 days we completed 1000 dollies and headed for our next project in the south.

We began our next job on our annual Australia tour around half November in Victoria, one hour east of Melbourne. This job was a one hectare job for Hobson, a well known local Tomato grower who was expanding his Eggplant and Tomato operation. This project was a classic build which included 400 meter concrete wall, and roughly 200 concrete dollies and was completed in roughly 5 days.

Moving onward, the next project was in Warragul area, for a large Australian grower Flavorite. They are planning a 2 phase expansion of 9.5 hectares due to be completed by 2020. We completed their phase 1, which was 4.2 hectares. A classic build with 970 m of walls and around 950 concrete dollies. Industrial site inspection company Coulthard Shim was on site daily with analysis of our hole depth and formwork as well as compaction of the ground. Working alongside Coulthard and around some unexpected weather we again managed to finish on time, completing this project in 14 days.

In January we will be returning abroad to one of our regular Australian clients, Katunga Fresh for building new growing floors of 40,000 square meters.

February we are happy to be returning to North America to work on one of our largest projects, we are excited to release more information about this job in the new year but it is safe to say the craziness in horticulture for both suppliers and contractors is far from slowing down. 2019 be another record busy year.

Happy Holidays,

Ronald
