Back to Australia For RORO Greenhouses

After a busy European summer, RORO Greenhouses has returned to Victoria, Australia for some great projects to close out our year. September had us return to Katunga to complete a 1 hectare foundation for Madigan via Gakon.

Simultaneously, we have commenced a large scale flooring project for Peter Van De Goor for 41600 m2 of specialised Fiber-Reinforced Concrete flooring with a 1400 m2 packing hall and 800 m2 pathway.

Fiber-Reinforced Concrete has definitely been used in the Netherlands' Greenhouses for quite some time, but we are seeing the rise of its prominence quite rapidly in the booming agricultural industry here in Australia.

The use of this material is fantastic for these industrial/commercial projects. Although it is more costly than the use of the traditional steel reinforcements, the return on quality is insurmountable. There are certain types of Fibre-Reinforced Concrete that has proven 500x less resistant to cracking and up to 40% lighter than traditional concrete.

Benefits of this concrete for your greenhouse floor are:

  • Improve mix cohesion, improving pouring over large distances

  • Improve impact resistance and abrasion resistance

  • Improve structural integrity

  • Improve ductility

  • Significantly reduce cracking, & improving durability

We expect to be here in Australia finishing up these projects to make it home just in time for the holidays, well deserved rest for another gratefully busy year for us at RORO Greenhouses.

Warm Regards, and many thanks to all our partners.

Ronald
