Extreme Conditions: Deep in the Dirt in Denmark

We started off the year returning to Denmark, this time constructing a 2.4 hectare greenhouse in the city of Tommerup with a contract from Kubo. Extreme weather conditions are nothing new for us at RoRo Greenhouses, from -30 Celsius to flash floods we have really seen it all. However, it did not take many weeks into 2017 for us to see our first weather shock of the year....

As a seasonally warm winter rolled into Denmark (which was a nice change from the -36 degree temperature in Canada in November) it also equaled the most severe mud conditions as the ground unthawed.

This mud was some of the worst we've seen! After engulfing a few pairs of boots and almost our excavator, this job was definitely one for the books. However, with a little extra effort and hours, RoRo successfully delivered our promise of on time, and on budget, completing the job in under 12 days.

Happy to leave winter behind, my brother and myself along with a few employees are heading to the sun, a few hours outside of Sydney, Australia to begin 1 of a few big projects happening down under this year. From -30 Celsius to plus 30 Celsius : Here We Go!

Regards,

Ronald
